Privacy

Updated October 26, 2026

Spot has no account, no ads and no tracking. Here is everything the app does with your information.

Your location

Spot uses your location on your phone to give you directions and to point you toward the building when you arrive. We don't receive or store your location.

Searches, maps and directions

Address search, maps and directions are provided by Apple. When you search or get directions, your phone sends that request to Apple, as it does in Apple Maps. Apple's handling of it is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Address downloads

Spot downloads the address records for your county from data.spotmaps.app, hosted by Cloudflare. As with any website, the server sees your IP address to send the file. These files contain public address records only, and we don't use the requests to identify you.

What stays on your phone

Recent places, spots you save, gate codes and notes are stored only on your phone. We never receive them. Deleting the app deletes them.
